Fili Prodigi - Reinforcements
Ha Tain swung his hammer once again. It was menial work, hardly worthy of one of the Emperors finest warriors. But then again, he was no longer one of the champions of the imperium. He had forsaken that oath together with all the others. The clang of the inactive thunderhammer against the bulkhead rang out in the entire corridor. He could feel the tension in the Astartes surrounding his position, watching the shadows outside. He could hardly call them brothers, yet they were like him. Not just in build and genetics, but in mind and purpose. They too had abandoned their fathers rather than facing what they had become. The bulkhead broke open with a loud crack, and he leaned in, aiming his bolt pistol down the darkness on the other side.
"It is clear"
The others signalled back their affirmitives, and the protective formation began slowly folding back on itself as Ha Tain led the way into the darkness, hoping to finally find a place to just sit down and rest.
Managed to get some more of my Lost Sons built, and based a couple of them.
My 750p army will be led by a Librarian (we decided to skip the Support Officer-rule) and consist of two squads of Marauders. One will be led by Ha Tain, formerly of the Salamanders, wielding his Thunder Hammer.
I've also constructed two Xeno Deathlocks, and more will come. I'll post some close ups of them later. I really like the rules for them as they convey the nature of Blackshields perfectly. They are unraliable, but if you are desperate you take whatever works. And they should work pretty well, with quite a big damage potential, especially in the smaller games. Add in chainaxes for the entire squad (for free, yay) and you got yourself quite a deadly combination. I'm also aiming towards having one of the squads with deathlocks and laslocks, for some 18" assault shooting. =)
